From Requirements to Release

Melting Point is a mature-themed action RPG developed for Astro Kaen, a game studio. I led all technical development on the project, working closely with the producer to translate design requirements into shipped features.

The central challenge was designing and building a semi-turn-based combat system from scratch — inspired by the Grandia series — where timing and positioning influence turn order in real time. Alongside combat, I implemented a character skill progression system and integrated a third-party visual novel plugin for the game’s story sequences.

The game shipped to PC and WebGL and is available to play on itch.io.
